Legal Assistant, Litigation department

Are you looking to work boldly, think outside the box, cultivate rigor and share success as part of a team? AVENS Montreal is looking for an assistant to join its Civil and Commercial Litigation Department. The new team member will support lawyers and paralegals in general commercial litigation, real estate, construction law and aviation law.


  • Opening of physical files;
  • Agenda and deadline management;
  • Mangement of CLIO tasks;
  • Management of examinations (scheduling and conduct, preparation of undertakings);
  • Redaction;
  • Notification and production of proceedings;
  • Creation of proceedings, exhibits and authorities books;
  • Filing of documents and files;
  • Communication and follow-up with bailiffs;
  • Communication with clients or other parties for signatures;
  • Communication with court registries;
  • Consultation of public sites (RDPRM, REQ, RBQ, land registry, plumitifs, etc.).

Job requirements

  • College diploma in secretarial or paralegal studies and/or relevant experience;
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience;
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Fluency in spoken and written Fench and English.
