Holder of an MBA and a Bachelor of Laws, Me Mouncef has developed solid experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on international arbitration. Her career path, spanning both private practice and in-house roles, provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and operational challenges faced by her clients. This dual perspective allows her to intervene in a targeted and strategic manner in high-stakes matters, both legally and commercially, in Québec and internationally.
Versatile Experience
Having worked in the real estate sector since the outset of her career, Me Mouncef has represented a wide range of stakeholders before courts of general jurisdiction in matters involving commercial leases and co-ownership, including extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and safeguard orders. She also handles a broad spectrum of commercial litigation matters, addressing various contractual and corporate disputes.
Me Mouncef is also involved in international arbitral proceedings, primarily in cases submitted to the Dubai International Arbitration Court (DIAC), in the context of cross-border disputes involving complex contractual, commercial, and jurisdictional issues.
Leadership and Initiative
Driven and meticulous, Me Mouncef is recognized for her strategic and pragmatic approach. Before joining AVENS, she was responsible for the development and management of the litigation department of a Canadian real estate firm, where she built a dynamic practice and demonstrated a strong ability to design and implement concrete legal strategies aligned with her clients’ business objectives.
